Apple Watch
Is it a game-changer?
At first, I wasn't sold on the Apple Watch craze. I saw it as another hyped gadget to manage. However, I've come to realize how Apple products have seamlessly integrated into my life. From my MacBook to AirPods, iPhone, and iPad, they've become my daily essentials.
After much consideration, I decided to write an official review of the Apple Watch in order to evaluate its integration capabilities.
Here are the two things I discovered about the Apple Watch Series 8.
The different options for the face.
The review highlights the versatile options for watch faces the Apple Watch offers. Thanks to the various styles available, users can personalize their watch faces according to their mood. Among these, the modular faces stand out, allowing for customization by displaying Time, Date, Calendar, Weather, Timer, Messaging, and Fitness Rings. This level of customization brings convenience, enabling users to access essential information directly on their wrists without resorting to their phones.
Apple Fitness+
The Apple Watch seamlessly integrates with Apple Fitness+, offering an impressive collaboration for fitness enthusiasts. Users can establish and track their daily fitness objectives, receiving timely reminders to monitor their progress. Beyond the Fitness+ platform, the watch is a reliable fitness tracker, diligently monitoring exercise metrics such as distance covered, calories burned, heart rate, and more, ensuring a comprehensive overview of one's workout routine.
Overall
If you have an iPhone, having the power to stay connected at your fingertips is truly liberating. No more constantly pulling your phone out of your pocket, and now, with the Apple Watch, you no longer have to reach for your phone every time a message comes through or when you want to switch up your playlist or audiobook. It's a game-changing device that has made life easier and more convenient.
REJECTION IS GOOD
Don't ignore the possibility of rejection.
I received a call from a friend who wanted to check on me. Normally, I get a text or call at the beginning of the year to wish me a Happy New Year.
This got me thinking about when I last questioned my assumptions and if it was time to let go of some of them.
Let’s define assumptions.
a thing that is accepted as true or as certain to happen, without proof.
I find myself always working on these three things to keep some balance in my life.
Everything that glitters isn't gold.
I enjoy reading books, but I'm cautious when it comes to buying them. I always make sure to read the prologue and glance at the table of contents before making a purchase. This helps me get a better understanding of what the book is about and ensures that I'm investing my attention in something worthwhile. In today's world, where most things are presented with flashy graphics, attention-grabbing headlines, and content that appeals to our interests, it's important to ask ourselves whether we're taking the time to ensure the information we're consuming is truthful. Is it easier to believe what captures our attention?
Everyone has an opinion.
We often spend too much time worrying about what others think of us when the most important question we should ask ourselves is what we think about ourselves, which truly matters. It took me some time to honestly believe that opinions from friends, family and other sources can often be overwhelming. However, when I freed myself from letting those opinions dictate my life, I found that I began to enjoy life more and, interestingly enough, I started to appreciate the opinions of others more. If their opinions didn't align with my values, even though I respected them, I dismissed them.
I got this. I know what I am doing.
I was mounting a camera holder, and to my eyes, only three holes in the holder needed to be attached to the wooden surface. Simple, I thought! I didn't need to read the instructions and started mounting it on my own. However, I soon realized that I had attached the camera holder wrong, and frustration set in. If I had taken the time to read the instructions, I could have saved myself a lot of trouble and avoided the frustration.
Believing that we've got everything under control has led many of us down a path of failure, myself included. It's important to acknowledge that it's okay not to know everything, but it's crucial that we never give up on learning.
Let's aim to let go of what doesn't serve us. When we align our purpose with doing good for others, that's when we truly make a positive difference.
